(Connoisseur-Caliber) ("New Arrivals Gallery") In this dramatic wide corridor runner, Known as "kelege", an elongated geometricized teardrop medallion rests upon a subtle latticework field created from the contrast between undyed camelhair and sheep’s wool. This finely tooled backdrop serves as a perfect contrast to the center medallion and matching stepped-edge corner pieces that host exotic over-scale coral blossoms called "harshang" and naive buds and vinery. Abrash (intentional color striation) is employed throughout the field, but most notably in the interior of the medallion, shifting from indigo to denim blue. The wide primary border features naive, outstretched cartouches, vines, and alternating rosettes while the final edge in undyed and unadorned camelhair. Learn About This Rug Type
