The subtlety of its highly restrained palette, combined with the meticulously fine weave and petite point design of blossoming botehs and surrounding verdantly blooming vinery, reveals the consummate skill of a master weaver and true artist. A pleasing kinetic ambiance arises from its nuanced asymmetry of each row being off-center and the partial versions of the boteh in procession beyond the border. The carnelian palmette main border perfectly counterbalances the shimmering, gossamer interior. This very finely knotted rug has a ‘handkerchief’ handle, prized by collectors.
