("New Arrivals Gallery") Exotic seldom-encountered colors and chiseled, realistic floral designs bejewel this exquisite rug, creating a sublime, one-of-a-kind example of textural art. Appearing on a resplendent blooming oasis in a dune-rippled sea of golden sand, fanciful flowers and foliage are so finely rendered as to appear drawn with pen and ink as if only yesterday, yet were manifested upon the loom by a master weaver long ago. Six elegantly shaped vases proffer bouquets stretching toward the energetic radial centerpiece. Seductive shades of rose quartz, moss green, Mayan blue, vermillion, and aquamarine dominate the palette of this lovely specimen. The seemingly studded border acts as a perfect foil to the exceptionally spacious interior. Seldom used and held in private collections for the bulk of its existence, this singular, superbly crafted rug remains in excellent condition, radiating a jewel-like quality through its luminous surface.
