This extraordinarily finely crafted antique Ferahan Sarouk rug exemplifies the style’s artistry at its best, presenting exceptional innovation in its pattern language and color palette. Original in almost every respect, this outstanding piece displays profound creativity and individuality. Atypical of this type, an elemental teardrop medallion in a scintillating aqua blue is the composition's focal point. Nuanced two-part anchor pendants extend vertically, accompanied by a diversity of individually drawn vividly colorful flowers dangling from filigree tendrils and taking on a lifelike movement. The tremendously individual artistic expression is enhanced by the incredibly rarely seen intentionally color-changing camel-hued field and vermillion corner pieces to unique effect. In virtually full pile, Ferahan Sarouk rugs in the 3x5 size are seldom found, and a stellar piece like this will not likely be available again.
