(High-Collectible)
("New Arrivals Gallery")This evocatively spacious, extremely finely knotted Caucasian Shirvan offers compelling formatting, presenting a variation on the Shirvan diamond rug. An axis of serrated hexagonal medallions with improvised jewel-shaped centers is filled with "lightning bolts," adding electrifying impact. Snowflake motifs with changing centers flank the vertically stacked diamonds. A riveting combination of exactly tuned, luminous colors includes glowing firebrick, burnished gold, laurel green, and Tyrian purple. This impressively lucent field composition is embraced by a diamond-studded interlocking "Dragon" border that flows upon a scintillating azure ground. In each lower corner, miniature fiery lions show themselves to be effective magical guardians due to the rug's marvelous state of preservation.
