("New Arrivals Gallery") A tremendously imaginative Vase rug presents a fantasy tableau created through fetching colors and heart-warming, wondrously detailed images. Here, the natural world is splendiferously alive. An elaborate multi-dimensional vase holds a bouquet of roses that magically culminate into lithe blossoming branches above. Within this matrix, translucent songbirds dive and alight from buttercup branches, and wise parakeets survey the swooping swallows and golden lovebirds near the apex of the scene. One can almost hear them singing to each other. Two curious-looking primates flanking the colossal vase move aside the foliage to get a better view. Heightening the immersive experience are forms and shapes left to the viewer's imagination that emerge and recede within the negative space of the reserve. Wielding the consummately dyed yarns to create this utmost dexterity and a painter's use of exquisite color was an incredible achievement. The inspired colors are a testament to now-lost natural dye recipes. The delicate gradients of abrash shading sculpt every motif. Numerous egrets in the bucolic border panorama further the visual enchantment as a final cadence to the composition. Happily, its heavy pile ensures the longevity of this tapestry-like art rug.
