("One of “60 Best-of-Their-Type Rugs Sold in 2022") The Bijar rendition of the Garden theme is highly regarded by collectors and, unfortunately, extremely rare to find. This room-size carpet depicts a spacious arboreal celebration against a highly prized undyed camelhair field. Numerous emanating conifers, narrow cypress trees, and angular weeping willows are presented in an orderly, unwaveringly stylized forest. Each is individually conceived and carefully rendered. In addition, numerous elemental "Trees of Life" are wonderfully designed with multi-hued chevron-shaped branches of varying scale sprouting up amidst the primary motifs. There is a soothing rhythm to the entirely charming design across the coveted blonde camelhair field that completely captures the eye. The dendriform motifs continue past the border frame's confines, leaving us with a picture window view of an infinite pattern. Sophisticated color tonalities are expertly contrasted with one another and especially illuminate the deep indigo border in a harmonious counterpoint to the interior.
