From a scalloped and faceted midnight medallion encased in swirling vinery, a profusion of flowers and foliage proliferates along wire-thin branches. Rococo-like corner spandrels demonstrate an elaborate architectural decorative flair. Sophisticated hues range from strawberry vermilion, delicate pistachio, tangerine, ice blue, and seldom-seen spruce greens to create profound chromatic textures and dramatic contrasts. The wonderfully festive border is ultimately based on the classical Shah Abbas design, where globular palmettes gently rest on a bed of what appear to be evergreen boughs.
