(Connoisseur-Caliber)
This consummately executed Persian Serapi reverently presents classic attributes of this much-loved style combined with a unique, engaging color palette. Its irrepressible artistic spirit and original crystalline pattern convey a memorable experience. Its magical medallion gleams with a soft golden glow from the rug’s core, augmented by careful use of camelhair, and is encircled by a luminous cobalt blue outer shell. Fanciful fleur-de-lis forms adorn the corners serving as impromptu spandrels. This masterfully drawn composition is made all the more impactful by the glowing signature strawberry reds, azures, and coral tones, joined by flashes of garnet and teal for an engaging aesthetic effect. Each naturally brewed hue is sensitively “abrashed,” with intentional color shifts that sparkle through the clarity of each motif. The primary border crackles with tremendous visual energy composed of rosettes, tendrils, and electrifying oak leaves that wend their way around the field. A uniquely time-matured aesthetic elevates this particularly evocative Serapi carpet in very good pile condition, to a true work of art.
