("New Arrivals Gallery") The design of this exquisite Mohtasham Kashan is thoroughly grounded in Persian architecture, with courtly fluted columns supporting an archway. Behind this portal is a beckoning phantasmagorical world with a fantastically opulent vase as the eternal fount of a prolific gardenscape. Glowing azure irises and gently bending trees pay homage to the immense trophy urn, while above, an explosion of multifarious flowering boughs swirl and tuck among each other in a way that allows every bloom its own space to flourish. A masterful range of scales is juxtaposed with one another that somehow, through the genius of its design, doesn’t seem cluttered or overly busy but actually exudes magical tranquility. The lush border has a mystical twilight aesthetic with restive mountain rams enjoying the cool of the evening. Its metallic hues are on the cooler side of the chromatic spectrum in contrast to the warmer field composition. The entire painstakingly formulated composition speaks of the elegance and grandeur offered by this legendary style from the City tradition. Virtually full pile condition is a testament to its careful preservation in a long-held collection.
