(High-Decorative) ("New Arrivals Gallery") Demonstrating exceptional craftsmanship and warm natural colors, this Malayer is of the Mishin variety, known for their impressively fine weave and perceptive visual qualities. The overall design of this piece is artfully cohesive, and the stylization of the Herati patterned hexagonal field prefigures Art Deco sensibilities by a generation. Sleek lines make up the beloved rosette-centered diamond and curled serrated leaf devices. They are accompanied by four-pronged embellishments that may represent weavers’ combs, occasionally depicted in rugs across genres. Its color palette has magically softened with the passage of time due to the natural materials used in the recipes of every hue. Autumn russet, teal, moss green, and marigold join aquamarine and electrum for heartwarming, entirely successful combinations interspersed by deft hands. Color streaks known as abrash appear most prominently in the field like flashes of sunlight that gently glimmer on the surface of a deep pool. This wonderful weaving remains in lightly patinated medium pile condition.
