("Great Lakes Collection") Offering a superb level of quality and extremely elevated artistry, this intoxicatingly beautiful Tabriz would make an ardent fan of this genre swoon with delight. Its courtly composition is sublimely balanced with a radial medallion and palmette appendages drifting above within an ornate, organically contoured reserve. While idealistic in its presentation, every design element is rife with spontaneous variance in color, size, and shape, imbuing this piece with a gentle animation. Textured desert earth colors are integral to achieving the sublime sophistication we have all come to expect from the renowned 19th-century Tabriz workshop of Hadji Jallili. Tonal gradations of burnt copper, blued steel, buff, electrum, persimmon, and midnight cobalt ring out in tuneful unison to further demonstrate a masterful sense of compositional harmony. With its extremely good pile condition, it would be a sublime decorative element in a room and a prize addition to an art rug collection. GLC rugs cannot be purchased using exchange credit.
