(Decorative) ("New Arrivals Gallery") Mat-sized antique Persian rugs are extremely popular, but unfortunately are seldom found. Laver Kirman offers an ingeniously filled central medallion with delicate pendants poised on a buoyant golden ivory reserve that hosts a bouquet of delicate flowers in pistachio green, peach, claret, and mauve. Floridly decorated spandrels connect all around the field for extra sumptuous framing in addition to the three outer bands displaying precise, crisply drawn garden motifs. At over 100 years old, this formal little rug is still in very good condition and can provide much enjoyment whether at the side of a bed, in a powder room, or on a small landing.
