(High-Decorative) From the elite Dabir workshop this splendid Kashan rug features an exceptionally wide color palette, expertly rendered English cabbage rose motifs that entranced Persian weavers and designers in the 19th century, and numerous highly detailed secondary floral patterns. Its marvelously elaborate Rococo medallion contains four realistic rose blossoms in golden cartouches held together by a luminous French blue cruciform centerpiece. Provided with a spectacular, richly saturated Spanish crimson ground, crisply rendered feathery lancelet leaves sway among spaciously strewn courtly bouquets and enchanting tiny flowers, inviting the eye to linger. Glorious boteh seed forms act as blossoms flanking stately palmettes in the lushly populated foliage of the main border. Comprised of extremely lustrous knotted wool, this exquisitely woven antique rug is astonishingly preserved in full pile condition.
