Our Persian floral rugs are consummately crafted classical art pieces, such as this exquisite Laver Kirman. The drawing of its every flower, vine and leaf reveals an astonishing level of precision and its color palette includes a seemingly endless tonal array. A regal mid-19th century Oriental rug, it offers a very seldom-encountered square shape in room size dimensions and exemplifies the exquisite, fluid drawing of this style which has garnered sustained appreciation since the 16th century Safavid Court in Persia. Bejeweled in time softened tones of cranberry, sage, pistachio, cerulean, sapphire, buttercup, green and orange gold, this striking 19th century Persian rug is wonderfully preserved in even medium pile condition with no notable restoration.
