Possessing considerable magnetism, this greatly inspired antique Laver Kirman carpet signed by the elite "Tausensian" workshop offers an entirely unique allover 'mirrored' design, tempered with a harmonious blend of softened natural color and energetic botanical forms. This combination coalesces into a complex layering of patterns that repeatedly draw the admiring eye to discover more fascinating details. An incredible level of intricacy, cohesion, and nuance pervade this masterwork with leafy golden boughs that seamlessly flow into fanned palmettes, lilies, and gem faceted flowerheads. Intriguing curled boteh pods dangle from delicate wire-thin stalks amid a plethora of florets and swirling garlands. Sensitively rendered exotic hues, such as wispy sky blue, forest green, indigo, cranberry, and mahogany, interplay upon a textured dusty rose base. This luxuriant masterpiece of courtly style has been retained in superb condition.
