Natural, carefree artistry is revealed in this enthralling example from the Bidjov canon, evident through constant subtle asymmetries. A series of elemental winged devices (possibly dragon motifs) ascend the Prussian blue field. They alternate with embellished 'ashik' guls adorned with Calderesque mobile devices. Near each "wing" hovers a pair of abstract phoenixes in a cosmic interplay. Secondary Zoroastrian S-glyphs, stylized florets, and various malice shielding amulet motifs are scattered about. These graphics are enlivened by harmonious hues of saffron, cerulean, crimson, sky blue, and paled umber that perfectly exhibits the collection of vibrant, abstracted designs. A tiny tulip guard stripe is followed by a pair of carnation meander bands that flank a virtuously executed classical "Oak Leaf and Chalice" main border. Its heavier pile is yet another allure.
