Here, four carpets have been successfully combined to augment the interplay of the different designs and symphony of balanced color they all contribute to. Making up the suite are the two 9×12 Feraghan Sarouk rugs, and a 11×18 antique Persian Veramin carpets in the foreground and a 12×19 antique Sultanabad in the background its own conversation area. Together these four Oriental carpets assist in creating gracious conversation areas in this large space while accentuating the role of the carved woodwork and sensitively upholstered furnishings in this uplifting Great Hall.

Here, the delicate latticework and soft camelhair tones of a superb 19th-century Persian Serab carpet pick up the gold scrolling hues of the stair carpeting for a completely integrated and distinguished effect. The two textiles coexist beautifully, even though the 19th-century Serab carpet was a later addition to this space.

Note how the medallions of these two 19th-century Persian Bijar (Bidjar) rugs, each intentionally positioned slightly off-center, appear to levitate in their own distinctly different way.
